MEET OUR LOCAL GUIDES

Meet our guides

J.C.

J.C. blends adventure with history, guiding you to spots like Merry-Go-Round Rock while sharing Sedona’s cosmic mysteries. Raised part-time in an ashram and named “Indra” after the lightning god, he’s seen it all—like a roadrunner battling a rattlesnake! Off the trail, he’s crafting art, BBQing, or diving into paleontology research.

Cowboy Bob

A true cowboy and third-generation Sedona native, Cowboy Bob knows the red rocks like the back of his hand. He brings decades of local history, culture, and firsthand stories to every tour. His favorites, the Outlaw Trail and Wildlife tours, highlight the rugged beauty and heritage of Sedona. Off the trail, Bob enjoys camping, fishing, and exploring with his trusty dog, Ruger.

Adam

Adam loves guiding first-timers through Sedona’s majestic red rocks and rugged canyons—Diamondback Gulch is his ultimate off-road thrill! He’s even had Sedona’s elusive bobcats lock eyes with his Jeep. When not sharing Sedona’s sacred stories, Adam’s likely doing yoga or eating ice cream straight from the carton.

John

For John, Sedona is a paradise for photographers, hikers, and wildlife lovers alike. He’s a fan of the Rim Run for its unmatched views and wide-open landscapes. When he’s not guiding, John volunteers with Mexican wolf recovery, blending his passion for nature with a deep respect for Sedona’s wild beauty.

Vivian

Vivian brings warmth, movement, and heart to every tour. She loves the Vortex Experience on Rim Run Supreme for its sweeping views and peaceful walking spots. A dancer and traveler at heart, she spends her time chasing waterfalls, reading, and hanging out with her cats, Tumbleweed and Kitty Jones.

Doc

Doc’s favorite trail is the Outlaw, where flowing paths lead to breathtaking views and the historic Honanki Overlook—a perfect mix of adventure and history. Known for his humor and storytelling, he brings Sedona’s beauty to life on every tour. When he’s not guiding, Doc leads the reggae band Local Honey as its guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter.

Phil

Phil combines a love for Sedona’s red rocks with a passion for photography, helping guests capture memories that last a lifetime. His favorite, Rim Run Supreme, offers stunning views and a fun, bumpy ride. When he’s not guiding, Phil enjoys hiking with his sassy German Shepherd-Dachshund mix, Athena, and exploring Sedona’s trails with his camera in hand.

CK

CK’s love for Sedona shines through on every tour, especially on his favorite trail, Rim Run Supreme, with its breathtaking views and bumpy thrills. They say his accent got him hired (it’s not Australian, by the way), but stories like riding bareback on a javelina might have helped too. When he’s not guiding, he’s hiking, biking, or relaxing with his Labradors, Bonnie and Bella, and his cat, Tanji.

Mark

Mark loves sharing Sedona’s red rock beauty and history with every guest. His favorite, the Outlaw Trail, is the perfect mix of mild and wild, covering plenty of ground. When he’s not guiding, he’s out exploring the Southwest, hiking, or drumming. Ask him to describe Sedona in three words, and he’ll tell you: “God lives here.

Michael

Michael will be the first to tell you—Sedona isn’t just a place, it’s an experience. He’s all about helping guests slow down, take a breath, and soak it in. His favorite spot? Rachel’s Knoll, where the magic finds you, even if you weren’t looking for it. Off duty, he recharges under the stars, debates interdimensional travel, and lets his two adopted cats believe they run the show.

Brad

Brad, aka Wingman, brings poet energy and a love of local lore. His favorite story is Cibola, the lost seven cities of gold, and it tends to make people start scanning the horizon like treasure hunters. When he’s not guiding, he’s writing or finding a quiet spot in the canyons.

David

David is a Sedona nature nerd in the best way, geology, plants, and wildlife. A mule deer family once walked right in front of the Jeep like they were part of the tour. When he’s not guiding, he’s hiking, working out, or quietly being a top-tier chess player. The mustache is along for the ride.

Lea

Lea’s passion for Sedona shines on every tour as she shares the beauty and energy of the red rocks she loves. She’s a fan of the Outlaw Trail, where panoramic views and ancient ruins meet thrilling obstacles. A springtime enthusiast, Lea relaxes by paddleboarding or playing with her dogs, Jasmine and Django. With a background as a pastry chef and a knack for sharpening chainsaws, Lea brings fun, skill, and personality to every adventure.

Rob

Rob thrives on connecting with people from all over the world, sharing Sedona’s history, vortex energy, and wildlife. After 18 years as a massage therapist, he traded treatment rooms for trails and hasn’t looked back. When he’s not guiding, Rob enjoys playing guitar, exploring nature, and spending time with his daughter and pets—including his bearded dragon, George.
